About the Event

RMB Latitudes launched in May 2023 as a new fair for contemporary art from Africa. Drawing a diverse audience to Johannesburg’s iconic Shepstone Gardens, the message was clear: There is appetite for a re-envisioned, immersive zone of creative exchange for the art community.

Our mission is to create a transformed, collaborative and uniquely African art ecosystem. One which is inclusive, accessible and uniquely African.

In response to the unique venue, central to the curation of the 2024 edition is sculpture, as well as solo and duo artist presentations. In addition to traditional art fair booths, galleries, curators and artists will be encouraged to create their own unique exhibition spaces, in response to the unexpected and intimate venue.

“What an incredible fair – I came away feeling inspired by the elegant experience, the beautiful venue, the professional team, and most importantly, delighted with our sales and high-calibre new contacts.” – Angela Shaw, Director, KZNSA Gallery

About Latitudes

About Latitudes

Latitudes launched as a physical art fair in 2019, and has since evolved into an integral player in the African art industry. The female-led team runs an online marketplace for art from Africa, a physical art fair, a series of mentorship programmes and an art award, all with the common goal of creating voices for independent artists and connecting artists with collectors. Latitudes challenges how art can be seen, experienced, and purchased, making the process more inclusive, less intimidating, and ultimately enjoyable for collectors.
